  1. I wrote my paper on The Vindication Of the Rights of Woman .Writing my research paper was a challenge for me. History papers is not my strong suit however, I did enjoy finding out more about the era of this text. Also I enjoyed analyzing it and pairing it up with the context of the time. However, for my revision plan I want to make things more clear in my paper because my thoughts were all scattered. Also I feel like I needed a stronger thesis. Lastly, I would like to go more into detail about the time period.

  2. I wrote my paper over “Aurora Leigh” by Elizabeth Barrett Browning. Writing this paper was less stressful than I was anticipating it to be. I was able to find my sources much easier than I thought I would and they effectively help support my thesis. However, I need to revise how I introduced my sources so that my paper is not so confusing. Along with this, I need to focus on the flow of my paper instead of jumping back and forth between ideas.

  3. My paper was about William Wordsworth’s “The World is Too Much With Us”. I found connecting his sonnet with history to be simple. Although his reason for writing this poem had a simple reason, finding sources on the databases were difficult for me. A librarian did help me find sources for my paper. Overall, I felt my thesis was clear, but my ideas were scattered all over the paper. I need to make my paper more understandable and have order.

  4. For this research paper, it was not hard for me to find relevant research and other information for my paper. I just had a difficult time connecting my poem to a clear argument that can be backed up with information from my paper. For my rough draft, I just threw as much information on paper as I can to get my ideas and thoughts out on paper. For my revision I have to change and adjust but I think that this paper overall wasn’t that bad to do. Research papers are usually tough because it is hard to find information but I felt like this was one of my better research papers once I finish revising and editing.

  5. I think it went well. The hardest part was actually deciding on what I was going to write about. There have been a lot of interesting things that we’ve read this semester. I’ve had to do a research paper before, so this wasn’t new territory for me. This was the first time I had to research something based on a story or the time it was written instead of it being a person that I wrote about. I thought the research was easy and I was able to find sources that support my ideas. The interface of ACC Library Services made it easy to fine-tune my search so that it would just pull up exactly what I wanted. Things that I want to change in my paper are adding more quotes from my sources that support my ideas and to also flesh out more pieces of the story so the reader understands the specific part I’m referring to.

  6. I wrote my paper on “Prometheus Unbound” which was written by Percy Bysshe Shelley. Overall, I felt my research paper turned out pretty good! When I looked for information over the topic it took me a long time to find the information I was looking for. I felt good about the information I got over the time period and about the author. For my revision plan, I want to make my conclusion more clear with my current information. Plus, I want to correct my introduction because it does not reflect what my essay discusses. The last part I want to change is going into more detail over the time period of the work.

  7. I think there were many pros and cons that went along with my writing. I do think that I could have had a stronger thesis statement along with better organization so the paper flows better together. Finding information over my topic was a little difficult at times but I did find some useful resources. I think my main problem is making sure my thoughts and ideas are not all scattered around causing it to be confusing.

  8. My paper was on the age of enlightenment and while revising it I found that in some sentences I was speaking of the victorian age. This prompted a very deep check on my paper about my facts on that specific time period and more research on the time period. Although I did see some strong point being made my paper need a lot of rearranging. Lastly, the research part is not a problem as I’ve done multiple research papers in the past.

  9. The most difficult part when working with “The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde” was finding historical data that deals with the specific time period of that area. There was plenty of times I looked through plenty of sources that could never quite give the me information that I needed, whether it be not from the area of Europe I needed or just never quite giving me the time period I required. What I will change for my final draft is either getting more sources or better ones than those I have at the moment. Perhaps I could find one nugget of information and try for more as I research, dig in deep to one section of the paper and draw out every bit of info that I can gather.

  10. My paper is over “Aurora Leigh” by Elizabeth Barrett Browning. I found my supporting resources very easily, but I just need to change the structure that I’ve used them in. I think there’s a way for me to arrange them so that they can support my thesis much more clearly. And when I use quotes from these resources, I can thoroughly explain their importance, and relation. Especially when it comes to the time period because that plays an important role in Browning’s writing of “Aurora Leigh.”

  11. I do think that when writing this paper over Jekyll and Hyde i could have used a bit more example from the actual text it self rather then my interpretation of the example in the story. I feel as if my thesis is strong and consistent but i think i can work a little bit harder on using the text to show my thesis. I really did enjoy writing this paper over this topic of good and evil. the Jekyll and Hyde text was something different from what we been reading it had mystery and i like that.
