In class this week, we discussed Percy Shelley’s “Prometheus Unbound.” We mainly talked about the main idea and how we shouldn’t but anything above others, we’re all equal. It goes more in depth my comparing mortal humans to Greek gods. During this discussion in class, this theme really stuck out to me the most compared to the others. This is shown in Prometheus’s relationship with Jupiter. Prometheus basically says that all should be treated and created equally, nobody is more powerful or more important than anyone else. Although there are plenty more themes that go along with Prometheus Unbound I think this is the most important in my opinion.
